ABOUT THE POST RIDE
The Post Ride is less of a destination and more of a state of mind. Carrie and Bob have found that the happiest times can come “after the ride”; times together following the exhilaration and peace that comes from time in the woods on bikes. That often involves being in a special place, enjoying good, simple food, typically a great beverage, and the relaxation and contentment that flows from the knowledge that you did something good – on purpose.

For us, the Post Ride often takes place near our base of operations in beautiful Northern Michigan, next to “The Van”. The Van serves as the adventure mobile and “mothership” for our fun. Fully stocked and ready for anything, it gives us the ability to explore all our local (and sometimes not-so-local) area has to offer. The Van serves as a testament to our action-ready ethos.
The purpose of this site is to share our passion for where we live, what we do, and to hopefully inspire others to follow their passion for adventure as well. We use this platform as a launching point for some of the things we have going on, a portal for communicating with like-minded folks, a repository for resources and advice, and an opportunity to grow our tribe.

So if you like what you see and read, stick around, shoot us a message, and maybe join us on this adventure!!
OUR JOURNEY
About Us:
Carrie and Bob have been adventure partners for nearly 30 years. Recent “empty nesters”, they enjoy riding bikes and playing in the woods, particularly in and around their home base in Boyne City, Michigan. When they aren’t riding their bikes, they can often be found enjoying a cold beverage by the fire, surrounded by trees and most often a handful of dogs!

Carrie
Carrie excels at food prep, rocking short shorts and tall socks, and quickly piloting a singlespeed uphill. With an indominable will, feisty and fun attitude, and a smile that lets you know you’ve made a true friend, she endeavors to live life to its fullest, every day!

Bob
Bob is a recovering bike-industry veteran, the one who lifts the things Carrie tells him to, maintains the bikes and gear, and drives The Van. Having earned the title of Singlespeed Jedi Master long ago, he advocates for a life of intentional immaturity. Just add beer.
